What is Enrichment?

Enrichment is the process of enhancing prospect data with additional information and standardized formatting. InvestorGrid provides two types of enrichment: automatic enrichment during CSV import, and manual contact enrichment for Apollo-sourced prospects.

Import-Time Enrichment

When you import prospects via CSV, InvestorGrid automatically performs:

• Geographic Enrichment: Automatically parses and standardizes location data (city, state, country) from raw address strings
• Data Normalization: Standardizes formats (e.g., state abbreviations, company names, investment stages)
• AI Enrichment: Uses AI to fill missing fields, generate summaries, and extract investment thesis (available on all plans)

Geographic enrichment happens automatically for all imports. AI enrichment is available on all plans (Basic, Pro, and Premium).

Apollo Contact Enrichment

For prospects imported from Apollo.io, you can manually enrich individual prospects to reveal contact information:

• Email & Phone Revelation: Reveals email addresses and phone numbers from Apollo's database (uses Apollo credits)
• On-Demand Only: Contact information is hidden until you choose to enrich a prospect
• Apollo-Sourced Only: This enrichment is only available for prospects with source "apollo"

To enrich an Apollo-sourced prospect, navigate to the prospect detail page and click "Enrich Contact Info". This gives you control over when Apollo credits are used.

AI-Powered Enrichment (Import-Time)

During CSV import, if AI enrichment is enabled, InvestorGrid uses advanced AI to:

• Fill missing fields by inferring information from available data
• Generate summaries and extract investment thesis
• Analyze portfolio patterns
• Standardize and validate data

AI enrichment during import is available on all plans (Basic, Pro, and Premium). If AI enrichment is unavailable for any reason, imports still succeed with geographic enrichment only.

Plan Requirements

Import-Time Enrichment: Geographic enrichment is available on all plans and happens automatically. AI enrichment (including investment thesis extraction) is available on all plans (Basic, Pro, and Premium).

Apollo Contact Enrichment: Available on Premium plan only. Requires Apollo.io integration setup.
